About the
church.
The church
was started about 17 years ago by Pastor Karl Unger. He retired
about 4 years ago. Three years and two pastors later, the church
had gone from about 500 to 60 people. They were about two days
away from having their electricity turned off. The leadership
asked Pastor Unger to preach for them on a few weekends. The
pastor and his wife, felt led to go to Toronto and got touched in
the revival there. It changed their lives and they returned to
the church and introduced them to the revival. It took off and
has grown to about 300 people. They now have renewal services
every Friday night. People come from all over to experience the
touch of God. I personally think they are some of the sweetest
pastors we have ever met. Full of love and compassion and
constantly bubbling with the joy of the Lord. Their faces shine
with the blessings of the Lord.
Revival
Report.
The people
were very hungry and open to the Holy Spirit. Preaching was easy
and people were expectant. Having had the Happy Hunters there
before as well as several other ministers paved the way for us to
take the people deeper.
Friday
night was
awesome. We had almost 300 present and the glory began to fall
from the very beginning. I spoke on Mal 3:1 ".... the Lord
whom ye seek, will suddenly come to his temple. " The power
of God fell in the place. People were filled with the joy during
the preaching. We began to minister to people and soon there were
bodies all over the place. And this in a Baptist church.
Saturday
night was
a Holy Ghost night. I preached on the River of God (Jn 7:38) The
joy broke out during the preaching. Pelple literally fell in the
river of God and got saturated. The altar time was awesome with
many weeping and laughing as the Holy Spirit Touched them.
We were
particularly blessed to see folks who had been in our meetings in
Michigan during the past four years. Still hungry for God and the
things of the Spirit. We had several come and tell us the fruit
of what had taken place during the various revivals. God is Good.
Sunday
am and pm were not church as normal. This
being a Baptist church, one would expect to have a quiet and
reserved type of meeting. The praise and worship is of a high
caliber and very anointed. A great blessing and refreshing
indeed. Many came forward during the alter time and got touched
by the power of the Holy Ghost.
