Dear
Friends, Some thoughts on Revival . . . Revival is not an option but a lifestyle.
Revival is not something happening, but the manifestation of the Glory of God. It is God
visibly moving among His people. Revival is not my decision, but my choice. God moves and
I choose to accept what He is doing in my life.
Revival is simply the presence of God in a tangible way. We have a treasure in our
earthen vessel, and that treasure begins to shine through us to a lost and dying world.
Revival is change in me to bring change through me. For the past 11 years, Loraine and I
have been witnessing God's power and presence changing lives and bringing people to a new
level of obedience. Gil Howard-Browne

Majestic Mountains - New Heights in God |
|
The beauty of the mountains in Washington State are beyond words. Covered
in a blanket of snow for a large part of the year, the majesty reminds us of God's glory
covering the Body of Christ. The snow covered peaks represent the cleansing of the blood
of the Lamb. We are covered with the righteousness of God in Christ and presented to the
Father spotless. The mountain top speaks of the heights that we can climb in God. The
valley represents our life here on earth and the fact that we can always look up, for God
always has something better for us. After the winter months, a great change takes place,
which reminds me of the change that occurs in our lives when revival comes.
When the spring comes and the snow melts and brings life giving water to the valley,
signifying the life of God flowing through us to a lost and dying world. The flowers
represent the blessings of God to us and through us to others.
Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion,
"Your God reigns!" |
Up-coming Michigan Revival |
|
After 48 meetings in 5 1/2 weeks, 2,500 miles of driving and a
flight from Tallahassee to Seattle and back, we decided to take a few weeks break to catch
up on administration and a little rest. We held a home meeting in Tallahassee at Scott
and Rita's home with about a dozen local folks. The presence of God always is great at
this Episcopalian couple's home. They had invited a local pastor from Perry, about 1 hour
from Tallahassee. Pastor Marcus Morris and his wife and daughter, with two other church
members, were greatly blessed and invited us to hold a revival at their church. The
revival dates are Aug 4 - 7
Montague, Michigan - About seven years ago, we held a three week revival at a church
that met in a gymnasium. We had awesome meetings and a few days ago, I was invited to
return for a two week series of meetings. We are really excited as this is the first time
we will be back in this area. God has given the pastor a vision of a great outpouring in
his church and the surrounding area. This could possible be the
fulfillment of that vision.
I am starting on Sunday June 2 and will continue through to the middle of June. Please be
in prayer for those meetings.
We return to Grayling, Michigan in mid august for an anniversary revival. Grayling is
one of the first cities to open to us in 1992 We have been back to the area many times
over the past 10 years and have grown to love the people. (For more details . . . check

Revival Update -
Washington Meetings |
|
Aberdeen WA : Loraine and I have just returned from some pretty
amazing meetings. We held 32 meetings in Seattle/Tacoma area in four churches. Starting in
the small city of Aberdeen, we did 1 1/2 weeks of meetings. The amazing thing about this
church is that they had just finished 7 weeks of meetings with three other evangelists. Thats
right!!! SEVEN WEEKS. We tag teamed directly after to complete a marathon of eight and a
half weeks of revival meetings. We did 12 meetings the first week and six meetings Sun -
Wed and the people were still hungry for more. There were so many testimonies of healing,
blessing and change.
From Seatac to Kirkland to the little Presbyterian church in Black Diamond, we saw
God's miracle working power and life giving changing power at work in the lives of people.
Amongst dozens of testimonies of healing, we had two ladies the same night receive healing
for their knees. One lady danced up and down for about 20 minutes after the Lord healed
her. She was scheduled for a knee operation that week. I was greatly blessed by the hunger
for revival in the Washington area. I have heard that Washington State is the least
churched area in the USA. Whether that is true or not, God is moving in a most spectacular
way.
Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I
will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. Isaiah
55:1 "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost." |
