How do you release the anointing
once you have it? Is it by praying over people, or are there other ways?
The anointing, according to 1 John 2:27 abides in you. Jesus
said in Act 1:8 that you would receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.
He gave the disciples the great comission in Mark 16 to go ye into all the world and
preach the good news, and these signs shall follow them that believe.... they shall lay
hands on the sick and they shall recover.
So you have the anointing in you and Jesus' instruction to lay
hands on the sick. You just lay hands on people according to the prompting of the Holy
Ghost and let God's anointing do the work. You may or may not feel anything, but you are
believing for God's power to flow into them and do whatever is necessary. Isaiah 10:27
says, the anointing will destroy the yoke of bondage. Some translations use the word oil
or fatness. Oil is symbolic of the anointing. Psalm 23 thou anointest my head with oil, my
cup runneth over. The anointing and the oil are the same thing.
All you need to do is stay full, obedient and
willing to be bold when He, the Holy Spirit prompts you to pray for people. If you give
Him opportunity, He will always work in and through people. The result will be that people
will be blessed and changed and healed.
