When God touched me, I was so
excited at what had happened to me and how my life was changed, I told my family and
church members plainly what happened. I freaked them out. I didn't mean to. The church I
went to was a Evangelical Covenent. I forgot that they are not opened to this sort of
thing.
Your experience was very personal. It is always hard for others who have not experienced
what you experienced, to understand. It was the same in the book of Acts. The reaction of
the people to what happened to the 120 in the upper room (Acts 2:1-3 ) was rather mixed.
"They were amazed and marvelled" Others were in doubt and said "What
meaneth this?" Others mocking said "these men are full of new wine" Acts 2
: 6 - 12
So you see, it is no different today. Whenever you receive a touch from God it is a
supernatural experience in a natural world. Try to explain supernatural things to natural
people, and you will get doubt and scepticism.
My advice to you is hold on to what you received from God as if it were a precious ring or
piece of jewelery. Do not try to reason with people, especially if they come from a church
that do not believe in it. Let your family and friends see by your actions and life that
you have changed. When they see that you are a better person and at peace and full of the
joy of the Lord and the Love of Jesus, then they will begin to recognise the touch of God
on your life. Try to find a place that is flowing in the things of God and if possible,
get into one of our revival services.
