I returned to a church in Yankton SD headed by pastors Butch
and Barb Hladky. Our 4 day revival in a cinema was a great success, not in terms of
numbers but in what the Lord did in those meetings. About 14 months later, I
returned to conduct a revival in their local church and once again we were met with the
Glory of God in each meeting.
People filled with joy, peace and love and with new
vision, purpose and zeal. That is the primary focus of the Holy Spirit in our
meetings. To bring people to another place of love for Jesus. However, there
is a greater purpose in each meeting that we don't realize at the time.
Upon my return to Yankton, 5 years later, I found out that a man by the name of Steve,
got powerfully touched in the Yankton, Cinema meetings five years earlier. He
drove the two hours home to tell his wife whom he believed would have a hard time
accepting the experience he had, as she was raised Baptist. (he was raised Catholic).
He brought her reluctantly to the next night meeting all the time expecting her
negative reaction. However, within a very short time she was overcome by the joy of
the Lord and spent the rest of the meeting on the floor laughing uncontrollably. The
went home and at about 1am, she said she could not just go to sleep without telling
someone. So they hopped in their car and went and woke up friends and family to tell
them what happened.
Over the past five years, by their own testimony, they were never the same. They
now pastor a church in Herric, a town of 105 population. They have about 45 people
attending the meeting. We did one meeting in Herrick in freezing very windy
conditions and had about 35 people present. The Lord moved greatly.
